Tips to Living Healthy
General body wellness is called health. It is the level where the body functions at its best. This means that there is no illness in the body both physically and mentally. It is when we make choices spiritually ,mentally and physically to live healthy. We are happy and able to do many things when we are healthy. This paper will outline tips to living healthy.
The major part of our healthy journey is the food that we eat. There is a saying that says that the number one medicine is the food that we eat. In order to live a healthy lifestyle we need to cook food that is healthy. Food that has nutrients that our bodies need for survival is healthy. Carbohydrates,proteins,vitamins and healthy fats is what constitute healthy food. Carbohydrates should be the non processed ones as well as proteins should be the good protein. Supplements should be taken because cooked food rarely has enough nutrients. This includes healthy minerals, vitamins, protein shakes etc.
Another way to stay healthy is by exercising. The cells will remain healthy when he body is engaged in exercise. Exercise can be workouts in the gym or taking long walks. Doing cardio workouts is good for the heart as well as loosing weight. Weight lifting is good for muscle building. We can also stay fit by jogging. Working out in general will ensure that we maintain a healthy weight which is necessary when we are trying to stay healthy.
We should stay hydrated since it is good for our health and our body is mostly made of water. The recommended water intake per person in a day is 8 glasses. Sweating and urinating helps remove toxins from the body which occur as a result of water intake. Water also prevents constipation and is also good for our for our digestive system. On top of water one may take a lot of fluids such as fresh juices, green tea etc.
Ensure you maintain a healthy mental well being. This is done by reducing the levels of stress in ones life. Stress leads to emotional disease that is caused by stress which comes from thing too much about our problems. Since it distorts your emotions and feelings it is dangerous for your health. If not checked stress may lead to depression. If not treated on time depression being a mental disease can kill.
Our bodies need to have healthy weight. To ensure a healthy life one must keep their weight healthy. BMI should be normal and it is calculated by considering the weight , height and age of a person. Excess weight leads to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems.
